W.C. Fields runs amok! Baby in peril!

What if W.C. Fields went crazy one day, and in a fit of drunken rage kidnapped his cinematic nemesis Baby Leroy? He sends taunting ransom demands and threatens to fill Baby Leroy with gin and "spank him into next week." Only Hollywood's bravest heroes could find his lair, defeat his goons, and end his reign of madness! http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o306 ... 2a2518.jpg

A Pulp Alley game coming soon to a tabletop near you! If you happen to live near Austin, that is.

Sorry, only now seeing this reply to a thread I'd forgotten!

I converted W.C. Fields easily from the big fat gangster in this Blue Moon set, pictured on the lower bottom left. I simply flattened the top of his head a bit with a file, then glued on a disc of cardboard for the skimmer brim, and made the crown with sculpting epoxy (or you could find a suitable sized thick, smaller disc). http://bluemoonmanufacturing.com/view_p ... uct=BMM401

Baby Leroy comes from Pulp Figures, "Delancy Sreet Characters" set: https://pulpfigures.com/products/view/85

Another "Hollywoodland" scenario I'm working up involves Hedy Lamarr: Secret Agent! This is suggested by reading accounts of how she was an amateur inventor and theorist who contributed to the Allied war effort in WWII. One overview is here, but there is much more information out there:

http://www.nbcnews.com/id/46848978/ns/t ... -inventor/

I've painted up the Pulp Alley "Raven Squadron" Sidekick (? -- the one with bare head) -- http://store.pulpalley.com/category-s/1819.htm -- as Hedy Lamarr, glamorous movie star and undercover intelligence agent (no image available yet), making movies by day and battling Axis spies and subversives by night (and on weekends!). She's primed for action with her machine pistol and grenades. My plotlines involve the German intelligence agencies seeking to eliminate her -- and vice-versa!

There are a lot of possibilities for games set in old-time Hollywood, if you can find or convert figures for some of these characters (and Pulp Figures also makes a great film crew pack). I look for figures that can match an actor's on-screen role(s), and build the character from the *assumed* movie character.

Oh yes, we also have old movie stars pop up in some of our games. Lots of fun! :D
