Disarmed -- 2 hits regardless of saves?

For discussing the Fortune cards....

Disarmed -- 2 hits regardless of saves?

Postby piper909 » Tue Jun 30, 2015 4:16 am

To play the Disarmed card, is it good enough to simply score two hits on an enemy, regardless of how many succeeding Health checks the enemy passes? Or must at least two hits take effect, i.e., not "saved" by passing health checks?

Two hits. Hits trigger a Health Check. If failed, the character is injured.

So... "is it good enough to simply score two hits on an enemy."

Religon is correct.

I'll also point out that a "success" (rolling a 4+) does NOT count as a "hit" if it is cancelled. For example, if you are attacking an enemy and roll 2 successes (4+) and they dodge/cancel one of your successes - then they only take 1 hit. And Disarmed could not be played.

So remember that matching/cancelling comes before hits are determined, and Health checks come after hits are determined. With this in mind, players should use Disarmed as soon as the hits are determined, rather than waiting until the Health check is rolled. :D In the hustle of action, sometimes this gets overlooked but it is the correct sequence to follow.

Thank you both! Yes, this is how I would have thought the card should work.
