It is a HUGE help to us when player share their opinions. Mila and I take it very seriously and we always take the time to reevaluate how the mechanics work.

THANKS for all the comments, ideas, and suggestions. :D

Animal might be more interesting if adjusted such that the 2 upgraded abilities could not be both Brawl and Dodge. As written, it is a strong 1st-level ability. (The Animal Perk would only be 2 slots, as the RAW, with this slight change.)

Finagler, Specialist and Athletic should be 1st level. It gives another option to 1st level characters... obviously not impacting higher level characters. I would prohibit these abilities on a 1st-level character benefiting from an Animal league perk.

I haven't seen that particular group of abilities be very popular/useful and we have actually been considering dropping them from the list. Personally, I'd raise something to 2d6 before I bumped an action skill to 1d8 - once per turn. I just don't think Followers roll enough dice to get much out of those abilities. Allies? Maybe.

I'm glad you brought these three up. I'm guessing you'd like to see them remain on the list?

I have no opinion as to whether they remain on the list.

I just mentioned it as the math suggests they are very weak at 2nd level. At 1st level they aren't totally useless. Most will opt for the 6 abilities that raise skills, but there could be merit in some situations to buff two skills slightly. It could be tweaked to a dice shift and reroll "1's" to make the math interesting... a 70% success rate per d8. ...Or 8's count as two successes.

Yes, I tend to agree that these are fairly weak abilities. Although very few players pick them as their first-round ability, we thought they were a decent abilities to pick up later through experience. Considering some of the newer abilities and the ones Dad is already dropping to level 1, I think these three are just taking up space and are not really viable anymore. But it's always cool seeing your ideas. :D :D
