Recruits in Lees Summit, MO

Are you hosting/wanting a Pulp Alley game at an upcoming convention?

That would be great. I took your advice and bought some comfortable shoes for Friday!

If you are just running that one evening, then it may not have mattered...but after being on my feet in cowboy boots all afternoon/evening Friday and all day/evening Saturday...Sunday was pure torture...

Glad you won't have the same issues.

Everything went pretty well Friday night. I learned a lot about presentation of a game. I'll be much more prepared next time! Putting a game on at the local club is much easier than a convention.

That was my big lessen learned too...besides don't stand in cowboy boots for three days straight, ALL DAY.

I've run a LOT of games and tournaments at the local game stores over the years, but Recruits a couple of years ago was my one and only convention game without any real expectation of what I was in for.

Glad things went well, and yeah, hope to catch you next time!

Maybe next year we can start throwing out the Recruits' dates and times early enough that we could have a real Pulp Alley presence.

I didn't even think that there might be locals on the boards for that event, or that you Pulp Alley folks might be up for a little drive, or I would have posted the dates and times as soon as I'd known about it.

My friend and owner of Game Café, LLC, my FLGS, is one of the sponsors & promoters for Recruits. Maybe we could even get him to host Pulp Alley events and meet & greets at the Game Café tables next year?

Something to consider.
