You wouldn't think it to look at him now, but just a decade ago Ramon Grandal was one of the brightest new stars of the siver screen. Much in demand for "latin lover" roles with his dark good looks and smoldering eyes, Grandal appeared in films with such stars as Vilma Banky, Mary Pickford, and Norma Desmond. For a time, he seemed poised to overtake Valentino himself as the premier "latin" matinee idol of silent films. But Grandal was a man of great appetites, and little self control, and loved good food and wine...a bit too much, as it turned out. Within a few years, he had begun to gain weight noticeably, and health problems soon followed. By the time sound arrived, shuttering many movie studios which could not afford the high costs of the new technology, Grandal was virtually a forgotten man.
Embittered, and suffering from chronic, stress-induced gastrointestinal problems, he drifted into a life of crime, eventually forming a gang composed of other unemployed movie actors, stunt people, and studio grips. Styling themselves after Pancho Villa and Emiliano Zapata, they took on the name "Los Diablos Locos," and gave themselves suitable aliases. Essentially, they are a bunch of Hollywood playactors, but they are no less dangerous for it. They will soon be making their debut, probably as the villains in a Bay City scenario.

Dangerous? Feh. All you got to do with these guys is say "Hi! Hedda Hopper is coming for an interview, are you free right now?", and they'll all start posing.
