This is very cool stuff...especially since I've been wanting some really dangerous creatures for my own nefarious schemes.
As I understand it, "Beast" includes "Animal" and another Ability, like "Mindless" or "Aquatic", and adds the "No Actions" restriction, correct?
Is there a list of Abilities you can combine with "Animal" to create a "Beast"?

Current versions of Timid and Beast --

Timid -- Before you roll Brawl or Might dice you must discard 1 Fortune card or suffer a –1d penalty. You may select two level 1 abilities at no additional cost. This ability is incompatible with abilities and perks that prevent actions or reduces skill dice.

Beast -- You cannot perform any actions. Select two of the following abilities at no additional cost: Animal, Aquatic, Big, Mindless, Speedy, Winged.

Obviously, these may change before we actually get to print but feel free to try them out and let us know what you think.

We are currently testing 14 new abilities to include in the next book.

Fantastic! This has me thinking of those great old Ray Harryhausen stop-motion monsters from the 50's and 60's -- the Sinbad movies, Mysterious Island, Jason & the Argonauts, and so on. Will definitely be trying out some creatures like this very soon. Can't wait for the Lemuria book!

I like that Beast is an option and not a change to core rules.

I like having Skippy The Wonder Dog running around claiming plot points :)
